Meritor Inc. is a leading global automotive supplier of drivetrains for commercial vehicle and industrial markets. The site in Lindesberg produces front- and rear axles to trucks and buses. With 4,5 BSEK as annual turnover and approx. 1 000 employees we are one of the biggest employer in the region.

In this position you are maintaining and developing profitable Axle business with a major OEM in EU. Based in Sweden, you will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment, coordinating and directing cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely responses to customer requests. Reporting to the Global Account Director, you are responsible for all commercial day-to-day activities, ensuring focus on customer relationship with high level of communication. Your target is to achieve strategic customer objectives defined by Meritor’s global strategy and to exceed customer expectations across all your activities.



  • Utilizes analytics and business tools to improve profitability of products
  • Leads customer PCR (Product Change Request) activities
  • Implements quarterly pricelist adjustments
  • Analyses sales price evolution – including tracking of RMI, productivity, cost sharing with customer, dressing and bare axle price adjustments
  • Manages customer POs
  • Coordinates with shared services for price implementation, invoices etc
  • Directs activities necessary to define cost reduction opportunities, elimination of redundant actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manages various cost reduction customer focused programs
  • Collaborates closely with Meritor Aftermarket/CVA EU for alignment towards the customer
  • Supports global coordination of the customer Account
  • Keeps fully abreast of competitive intelligence and total industry and market knowledge
  • Develops holistic customer engagement plan with focus on strengthening the breadth and depth of Meritor’s relationship with the customer
  • Drives proactive performance and relationship management with the customer


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business/Finance. MBA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Automotive / Heavy Vehicle markets, customers & processes
  • Minimum five years of experience from similar role within the Automotive/Heavy Vehicle industry
  • Experience from lean, cross-functional, matrix and fast-paced multinational corporate environments
  • Experience and knowledge about major EU OEMs’ brands, values and culture preferred
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Readiness for travelling to secure achievement of all responsibilities
